Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis partners with community organizations, housing providers, and congregations to work toward eliminating homelessness in Greater Indianapolis. One of their initiatives, the Apartment Shelter Program, helps to eliminate the trauma associated with a shelter experience by connecting families to an apartment and resources while they work to secure permanent housing. Being part of the Family Promise family and residents of the Apartment Shelter Program helped Michael and his son Michael Jr. to transform their lives.
