$3.16 million in grants to 52 nonprofit partners

Hello Community –

This month, Glick Philanthropies directed more than $3.16 million in grants to 52 nonprofit organizations as the sector faces funding cuts, uncertainty, and threats to their missions. In addition to these grants, Glick recently joined the Trust-Based Philanthropy Project and more than 170 other funders from across the country in committing to taking trust-based action in support of the social sector at this critically important time.

“Millions of people across the United States are housed, fed, educated, connected, and inspired because of the work of nonprofits,” said Marianne Glick, chair of the Glick Family Foundation. “As a result of state and federal government funding cuts and policy changes, more community members will look to nonprofits to help them fill critical gaps. As nonprofits step up to meet the growing needs of the community, philanthropy must step up to support those nonprofits through funding, beyond-the-check support, and advocacy.”

One way Glick is mobilizing resources in a trust-based way is by committing to multi-year, unrestricted funding that allows nonprofits to plan ahead, including ACLU of Indiana.

“At ACLU, our work is about all of us in Indiana and across the nation. We the people, coming together and daring to create an even better state and country,” said Chris Daley, executive director of ACLU of Indiana. “A multi-year grant commitment from Glick Philanthropies empowers our team to think longer-term about how to challenge unconstitutional government programs, policies, and practices, and build people power in Indiana in coordination with our nonprofit peers.”
