The recent terror attack on Israel and the slaughter of innocent Israelis is an unconscionable tragedy. Glick Philanthropies stands firmly with the citizens of Israel and condemns the acts of hatred and violence perpetrated on the victims and their families. Our founder, Gene Glick, helped liberate Dachau concentration camp in 1945. Sadly, nearly 80 years later, we are reminded that the scourge of anti-Semitism leading to the murder of innocent Jews still plagues us today. Glick Philanthropies extends its heartfelt condolences to the citizens of Israel and remains steadfast in our commitment to the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam: repairing our broken world and bringing peace and prosperity to all.

There are many organizations working to provide support in Israel. If you wish to take action, here are two organizations to consider supporting.

  1. Donate to the Jewish Federations of North America: Jewish Federations are working with core partners to support victims of terror, help rebuild damaged infrastructure, and address the unprecedent levels of trauma caused by this horrific attack. Glick Philanthropies will provide a $50,000 grant to the Jewish Federations of North America emergency fund.

  2. Call for responsible media coverage: Join ADL (Anti-Defamation League) in signing a petition to major media outlets urging them to report on the war in Israel in a responsible, accurate and compassionate manner, ensuring that their coverage not only honors the lives lost, but accurately describes Hamas as a terrorist organization.
